Al-Kitab for Abraham's Children
(A Guide for the Straight Path)
How can Jews, Christians, and Muslims
walk together on the same Straight Path that leads to the Gardens
of Paradise? What do they have in common?
Muslims, Jews, and Christians have a common "spiritual"
father. They all came from Abraham. Arabs and Muslims are Abraham's
descendants through Ishmael. Jews and Christians are Abraham's
descendants through Isaac. Lesson 1 pictures how Ishmael and
Isaac as well as their respective descendants had beautiful contacts,
each helping the other. It is jut unfortunate that the professed
descendants of Abraham continue on their sibling rivalry through
wars and intrigues down the stream of time.
Allah has a message as contained in His Al Kitab (Divine
Book) for the two lines of Abraham's descendants. There are
Hanif believers in each line. Allah calls these believers to
come out of their Jewish, Christian, and Muslim respective religious
nests and find a common ground. There is no other common ground
but for them to go back to the religion of Abraham—the true
Islam. Allah calls them to form a common ummah (community)
of Hanif believers. Their mission is to lead their fellow descendants
in each line to the Straight Path, the path that Abraham had
trod, which leads to the Garden of Paradise.
